Physical Education

Physical Education plays a very important role at Barham. Sport England has awarded the ‘active mark’ to the school in recognition of curricular and extra-curricular excellence. Pupils have and continue to enjoy a wide range of sporting experiences. The school enjoys a wide range of sporting facilities including:
  • Extensive playing fields used for hockey, rugby, soccer, cricket, rounders and
    athletics
  • A large multi-purpose sports hall
  • Several hard court areas used for netball, tennis and hockey
  • A caged Multi User Games Area

Pupils experience a full program of activities in line with the
national curriculum for KS1 and KS2. They also have numerous options to
participate in a wide range of lunchtime and after school sporting
clubs.

It is important that we have your support in ensuring that children
always have their P.E. kit with them. Due to Health and Safety regulations no
jewellery may be worn during P.E. We ask you to ensure that your child does not
wear earrings (cover studs/sleepers) or other jewellery to school on the day
they have P.E.
